OBJECTIVE

To enhance the regional academic and industrial cooperation in the field of plasma assisted technology, providing an appropriate environment to discuss topics of interest to Latin American countries.

METHODOLOGY

The AITP was meant to give a space to present experiences, achievements and also obstacles in the field of technology transfer and the relationship between academic people and industrial partners in the Latin American Region. It will not be a meeting in the conventional sense, since papers will not be published, but a dossier will be prepared with the participants and their interest to make contacts and collaboration work. There will be invited lectures, oral presentations and a discussion forum. We hope that this second Workshop will be an efficient way to connect people from the industrial and academic sectors, and to discuss common problems related to the field of plasma technologies with colleagues from other countries.

Topics

  • Application of plasma technology in Latin America:

- Thermochemical processesface Engineering combined processes

- Medical, biological and environmental applications- Mechanical applications- Thin Films

  • Collaboration between academy and industry

  • Future prospects of plasma technology in the region
